just askin for which is better I like ff7 better because it was longer than 8 and 9. Plus the order of the longest is 7 9 and 8 well that how i put it what do you think?

Out of that list, FF7 is the best without a doubt.
But what beats that in Square titles is Secret of Mana and even the imported Chrono Trigger if you where a keen importer.

Well, has to be said that Final Fantasy III was the best of the lot.
However, Secret of Mana still is my best game of all time.

I thought 7 was great as graphically it thrashed all that had gone before it in the series. In terms of gameplay it had all the mini-games, and although the world itself wasn't that large there were 100s of places to visit and mini-quests to complete. And the weapons upgrading system linked to abilities, although at first complicated to get to grips with, opened up a wealth of diversity during fights.
FF 8 for me was actually better than 7, the way you acquired your Gifs was different, the battle system was overhauled, and the cardgame made its first appearance. Some of the ideas in the game were quite new as well, like the first time you fainted on the train and then woke up controlling another character, and when the two Gardens were battling some of the cut scenes as you were running through a warzone were truly amazing.
FF 9 I still haven't completed but so far it's looking great as the best in the series for me. Drawing abilities out of weapons gives you great incentive to level up more, they've gone back to the graphical style of FF 7 for much of it, and the characters themselves are much more diverse and interesting to meet.
If I had to pick one of the three so far it would be FF 7 purely because I went back and started from scratch 3 more times after completing it the first time as I loved playing it that much.
The only game that has come close to it in terms of gametime on a console is Skies of Arcadia on the Dreamcast, which still gets played again and again even months after completion.

From me it's a close call between 7 and 9 with 8 just a little behind.

9 has best graphics and comedy and the most extras the best chocobo's. 2nd best weapon/ magic system.

The worst chocobo's –– needed pocketstation to play properly.

Wrong, wrong, wrong. The order of length is FF7, FF9, FF8. Well, that's my saves anyway, and I got all characters on level 100 etc...
