There seems to be only a very few genres of games out. You have your, many, racing games, your FPS games, action, strategy and sport titles. But what would happen if people combined genres, mixed them up and made crazy titles. I can think of a few which have been done like Super Monkey Ball, which is sort of strategy, action and sport combined. However there arnt that many. Can anyone think of any genre crossed games that would be good?

Racing Sport

Imagine it, your favourite sport personalities racing around in go-karts. Beckham vs. Tiger woods racing around on grassy terrains. Jimmy Hill vs. John Motson in a battle of the old boys. Would be funny, only for a little bit though because its a kart game. Killer online multiplayer mode though, unlock special celebrities and extra tracks.

FPS Game Show

Ok you have your AK 2000 and your running around underground caves looking for terrorists to kill, you see one and... DING DING, a game show hosts rises out of the floor and asks you to choose a genre "sport, geography, science, general knowledge", you say geography, "whats the capital of Egypt?" "erm, Paris", EEEH AAAH, game show host disappears into the floor and the terrorist dissolves into the floor and out of sight. That was just a quick snippit from the newest and best FPS shooter, "Shoot that question". You have to answer correctly to have a go at killing the terrorists. What a game.....

Action Sport Strategy

The other new games were just average but this is the ULTIMATE in blending genres. Ok get this, your favourite sport personalities are back in the follow up to "Personality go-karts". First you have to battle each other in a gruelling five day worlds strongest sport star type game. Then once you have the storngest sport star they have to take on the role of creating an army to fight against other sport stars armies. "ne Sport star from each country, will create an army, they will do battle on the Sahara Desert" Rated 18, particularly liable to offend....

As you can see blending genres can have dire and scary consequences, no wonder no games producers do it much...

Seamen would be the best at FPS, seeing as he's old enough to have been in WWII...

Getting to kick rival North Londoners 'cheeks without a stupid ref getting involved. That's how. James Beattie would be the first 'star' I would want in the game. :-) Heh eh.

Yeah, i forgot about that one. I think manufacturers are running out of ideas, this links with your post earlier today about how their are lots of "add ons" and not enough original games

Hey, nice post Grapo. It's true that some genres will never be mixed, but mixing some genres could work very well. Mixing a sports sim and an RPG could work very well, and FFX started to go into this with that game that you played in the water.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
Very pleased
Very pleased with the help given by your staff. They explained technical details in an easy way and were patient when providing information to a non expert like me.
