As for all the hacker nonsense I have a few ideas.
I guess you all know that certain software is available to allow parents to monitor what their kids do on the net. Well if someones e-mails you this as an attatchment and you open the e-mail then the file installs unknown to you and the person can find out anything you type, view etc. Including sing in names and passwords.
Get some virus checkers and spyware detectors and get rid of things which pop up.
Either that or your reminder question or password where just stupid and guessed, or you have posted the details for either of these on SR or on SO.
Or the so called hacker has attatched some kind of file, maybe a trojan but probably some script they downloaded and you have opened the e-mail and or attatchment.
