Could the future of gaming come from a completely overlooked medium?

iTV, WAP, Digital TV.

All the above have never been mentioned, they are know very prominent in advertising and shopping is becoming huge on Digital and the Internet seems to be going that way so will games be moved to TV and WAP. They have the advantage of there being various TV's able to play the same game down a wire. So developers will be making games with a possible audience of everyone with a TV. No matter how well a console sells it won't match that catchment. The WAP is portable and would benefit from the same advantage. Obviously a lot of work is needed if it will catch up with the power of a Gameboy. But in theory you could download a game and play in seconds, no waiting, no sold out.

Do people believe that this could catch on?
What are peoples thoughts?

Actually these things have been discussed, but I'll give my views again (I know that you all really want to read them). WAP phones are crap, who wants to use a tiny screen and have to press each button up to 3 times to get the letter you want when writting rubbish. If you tried to play a game your service would probably drop off the network, and you'd lose it. Digital tv is more likely to work, but will any of the major broadcasters ever support games any better than Minesweeper?
Personally I think we should stick with what we have now, and wait to see what comes along, if it's any good we'll move on.

Continue this excellent work...
Brilliant! As usual the careful and intuitive production that Freeola puts into everything it sets out to do, I am delighted.
Wonderful...
... and so easy-to-use even for a technophobe like me. I had my website up in a couple of hours. Thank you.
