I was quoted "3-6 weeks" back on 07/01/2002, two days after I ordered the console. If SR had quoted "6-11 weeks" back then, I'd have cancelled the order straight away.
What's going on SR?? I could have picked a up PS2 in town yesterday, but didn't, as I was under the impression that they'd be in this week or next. If the High Street shops can get stock, why can't SR?
I don't want to cancel my order, as I obviously got a good deal through SR (that's why we're all here), but I can't understand the reason for these excessive delays, epsecially when they're on the shelves in some High Street shops.
Your comments would be appreciated to this new thread, SR.
Don't get me wrong - I'm not blaming SR for this situation, but I am getting frustrated by the long delay. Seeing the consoles on the shelves in Comet (of all places) just adds to the frustration when you're subsequently told by SR's Customer Service Line that the delay will be twice as long as you were originally told!
Anyway, according to Loki, SR are expecting new stocks by the end of next week, so the end may be in sight. We wait with baited breath...
I know this is easy for me to say as I havent had to wait long yet and maybe in a months time it wont be so easy for me but at least I will be a month closer to getting my PS2 than I am now or if I had never ordered it!!!!!!!!!

Look on the Customer Service forum and you will get the answer. It is not SR's fault there is a shortage of PS2.
