Being, oh just a little fan of this guy, there is a book available through Amazon called...*drum-roll*
American Scream: The Bill Hicks Story.
It's the 1st biography on Bill Hicks by a lady called Cynthia True.
Covers his life and death and everything in between.
I'm not going to give a run down of why this guy was the best stand-up since Lenny Bruce and Richard Pryor.
You've never heard of him, and that's a shame.
This guy was a revolutionist.
A Social Terrorist that used jokes like sniper rifles to attack any target he felt unjust.
That's enough of Hicks, if you don't know him then you won't be interested in reading this book.
But if you are interested, if you're into Rage Against The Machine, Tool, Chomsky...then order this book today or get it in Waterstones/Boardmans etc.
I've had mine on pre-order and it was despatched this morning.

...............
And Kevin Booth (Hick's producer and best friend) agrees it's pretty good.
My experience has forced me into only buying autobiographies and biographies that get very good reviews, which seem few and far between...
