The film that Vanilla Sky was based on is on television this Saturday. Abre Los Ojos is a Spanish film that is well worth watching, more subtle than its remake, the film uses a lighter tone to tell roughly the same story. Penélope Cruz looks better and more in place than in the remake and you will soon forget that you are watching a film with subtitles.

By all accounts, this version is certainly weirder than the remake too. Sounds good to me!
I'm planning to go see it on Saturday, so it'll be interesting to see the new and the old version on the same day. Cheers pb.
