Adverts are always on the Tele, but there are always mistakes or flaws in them. I was watching a bit of T.V the other day and the Halifax advert came on. I noticed 3 mistakes and showed them to a few people. They also said that these were mistakes. Now if you have seen the advert but aren’t too sure which one it is, it’s the advert with the CAD characters and Howard as the main man.

The first flaw or mistake I noticed will involve the RSPCA. At the beginning of the advert, Howard refers to a “little bird”. Now this bird then pops out of Howard’s bedroom wall, and is noticeably bald. Now, this is a major sign of mistreatment. But this isn’t the end of it. The bird is followed by a tube, which goes up the bird’s rectum. But then the tube starts to emit air, and the bird is blown up. Now I don’t know whether this happens in Birmingham, Howard’s hometown, but this never happens in Essex. Or at least I don’t know of it ever happening.

Now after Howard has been told that the Halifax are the best bank to go to if you want good rates, he gets in his car and heads to work. OK, this is all well and good, but the second flaw is about to appear. As Howard is driving, he clearly looks to his right and starts talking to the camera. Now this is against the law, but the thing that makes it so bad is that the bank are offering you types of insurance. So, you definitely wouldn’t get an insurance application accepted if you were to drive like this, but he works at the same bank that is offering this insurance. Now, even is you did work at this bank, I still don’t think they’d insure you if you didn’t watch the road when driving.

And lastly, after Howard gets out of his car, he starts praying in a Buddhist way in the middle of the road. Now this isn’t a country lane, this is clearly a motorway. Now if someone were to do this in “real life”, they’d get busted in about a second. Now they say that video games cause people to become violent, but I now think that it’s the Halifax.

I have sent an email to the Halifax demanding that they take this advert of the Tele; I feel that it’s even too bad for Channel 5. Now that’s saying something!

I hope you feel the same,
Yours truly,
Ben Bishop.

Yes, but that's just not funny...
The post was meant to be a tad bit on the comedy side, so although your idea is very correct, it wouldn't have worked.

You forgot to mention at the end where Howard mentions that they pay 3% interest on their current account which is 30 times more than their cometitors - this would mean that the other banks are all offering 0.1% interest - now I am with Lloyds TSB and they give me 0.5% which is only 1/6th of the Halifax rate.

It may be the wrong forum, but some of the people in the other forums are right door knobs. This forum's cool, it's just a bit dull. It would be perfect if a few people left, and the people that are cool would stick to this forum and not go to FOG. It did have the smallest bit to do with gaming aswell, hence the bit where i said that the Halifax were responcible for people getting busted, and not video games etc.
