I was just watching one of David Blains magic shows, he is unbelievable. Have you ever seen him?

He lavitated in the street with no wires etc, he did some amazing card tricks and took peoples watches without them realising.

I saw a show before where he was frozen in ice for ages, I think it was 24 hours.

I dont usualy enjoy magic, but I have seen him on tv a few times and im amazed every time. But what I want to know is how he does his tricks. I cant see any possible way that he does some of them.

I prefer the paul zennon shows, he puts some fun into his shows, like where he pulled some white powder out of a policemans pocket.
blain has nothing on the guy that was on Ch4 recently
darren something, he does the mind tricks on people, like at the greyhound track in walthamstow.

I'll tell you how David Blain does it.

He talks in the most boring voice known to man in order to put people to sleep. Then they're not ready for what he is about to do. :-D

I liked the Paul Zenon spoof of David Blaine, where he threw a pack of cards at a car windscreen, and smashed it.

Yeah I know how he does most of his tricks and i've seen him mess up before, he also does some things off camera before he starts the trick with the culprit shall we say.

Lots of editing in some tricks, especially in the levetating like some people have already said. He stands to the side of them and simply stands on the tip toe of the foot you can't see. Try it you'll see what I mean, nothing that special really.

Oh yeah and lots of palming is done.

Yeah, I think everyone's seen how he does his levitation. You can still shock people with the real one though, my mate did it in Sociology. I could see his feet because of where I was sitting, but no-one else could.

There was a programme that exposed how he did his tricks. It had clips of when he got their cards wrong and blamed it on stupid things, like spiritual interference. The levitating one was good, but if you watch it again you notice that when you see him go really high, the only parts of the spectators you can see are their sleeves or the backs of their heads. That's right - they weren't there! He went up a bit in the street (easy if you've got toes) and went back later with a crane! The ice thing was pure endurance though. My hat goes off to him for that, but the rest of it is slight of hand nonsense that Paul Daniels does. Did anyone see Big Train? They did a sketch where a man who looked like David Blaine performed sketches like pretending he's bitten his finger off and did that thing where you slide it across the back of your hand - hilarious.
