If you remember me from befor christmas you will remember me saying that the sims was my favorite game in the "whats your favorite game" topic and also that i said i was having it for christmas well i did and i went out and bought two expansions.... ahh long hours of joy untill to my horror i found that when i went on the game i got about 3mins untill the game shuttdown has any had something simaller happen then to top it all off i cant even get on the website oh the pain......!!!!!!

If you've got some invalid skins the game can crash when you're trying to change them. Is that the problem?

Is that that's the problem? You downloaded a house?
Did you try to put it in a lot where you already had a family living? That can cause problems.

most of those expansions are dodgy...try...www.megagames.com for loads of free patches, downlaods and other sims stuff ;)

I have had problems with the Hot Date expansion, when I use that it frequently dumps me out of the game without warning, or fails to load. Recently it corrupted one of my houses, too.
I've recently purchased pirate copies of all the expansion packs and the original game, so I can use all the expansions at once (can't do that with pirate copies downloaded from the net, y'see), so I'll see if that sorts things out.
