All this about the rechareable battery in the SP (kinda like-a mobile), if it was imported from Japan, would it be able to charge up from a UK household?

Have you included import tax?

Like you, if Nintendo would launch globally then I would have bought from SR. But as it is, I found out about the GBASP on the special reserve news - only to find they didn't sell them, and the quickest I could get one was from Japan!
Very reasonble it was too, as they offered everything needed for the UK.
