May 3rd eh? Well, according to video clips (and endless topics here on SR) that is the date of GC launch in Europe. But the official announcement is on Monday is it not? Yup.
Nintendo, usually more secretive than the US governments alien experimentation division, have had this video somehow leaked... Or have they?
Maybe the leak wasn't a leak at all. Maybe it was part of Nintendos scheme. Was that video the real one that will be released on Monday? How would you know? Nintendo, are typically secretive, and this is pretty uncharacteristic, having a leak a couple of days before possibley the biggest announcement since... the US launch probably...
Anyway, here is my point. Could the video be a fake? Could it have been purposefully leaked by Ninty, to get people talking and speculating about the release? Many people were a little annoyed by the rumours that Ninty would launch April 5th, they still wanted the March date. But April 5th is much preferable to May 3rd right? Think about it. You are hacked off at Ninty for releasing in April not March. Then you hear even worse, that Nintendo are going to release the cube on May 3rd, a month after you expected. It makes you even angrier at the big N. Then when the official announcement comes, it turns out April 5th is true after all. You'd be so relieved that it was earlier than May 3rd, that your frustrations at no March release would be forgotten in the relief that Nintendo were going to release in April, a month earlier than you were now convinced of.
Maybe this is far fetched, but it is based on some kind of logic. So, don't get your hopes TOO high, but if you wanted an earlier release, don't give up just yet...

Just incase anyone is curious as to the name of this topic, I altered the name of a band...
there's a (swedish) band called 'The (International) Noise Conspiracy'...
As yuo can see, I (incredibly wittily) changed that name to this title, 'The (European) Nintendo Conspiracy'

Perhaps Nintendo are planning to shock the world by putting it forward at Millia.
Or perhaps now the date has been launched, perhaps Millia will be to give more details like what other plans and release dates of games like DK Racing and Kameo...

a march launch and SSBM will be just...Peachy
yeah, but even so, releasing in March there still would have been a nice selection of games (better than the US or Jap launch anyway) and there is a trade off between an earlier release or waiting for more games... too much either way could be damaging, but Ninty have no problem with releaseing too early now, as many wanted a March release!
anyway, unlikely as the theory may be it is a slim possibility...

Well, I would of thought that they would have the best for their Customers, try and release the GC when i nice little Slection of games to choose from.
Well on SR news they said that some games are gonna be released on April 5th.
