Four single female New-Yorkers paint the town in Sex In The City. Charlotte, Miranda, Samantha and Carrie are looking for the right man to settle down with, but it seems as though they are cursed, in that every man they have bedded so far is problematic or has a fault. In the last series, Charlotte married Tre, but they split not-so-long later, after she had an affair with the Gardener. Carrie still has Mr Big on tender hooks after their split many years ago, which she undoubtedly regrets. Samantha bedded another 10 men in the last series, and it's likely that she'll repeat that mating pattern and Miranda is trying to focus on her work as a lawyer. The new series has just started on C4 (Wednesdays, 10pm, I think!).
I haven't watched the new Sorpanos, but the old ones were excellent, and so expect the following series to be cracking. Sadly, Tony Soprano has decided to pack it in after this series, because he doesn't like the violent nature of the series (how ironic!). I have a feeling that Tony will get caught with the affair this series, and something will happen to him. Be it suicide, murder or leaving to go into hiding, I smell a controversuial finish to the great series. Tony's daughter is oblivious to the fact that her boyfriend is having an affair. Tony caught him and taught him a lesson. This should be the last series, as it's nothing without Tony.
I prefer the Sopranos, but SITC is also an excellent programme. What do you think?
