Hi chaps, haven't been in here for a long time, does anyone know if you can get an Athlon Motherboard to fit an AT case, I know it is extremely unlikely and my 200w power probably isn't upto it so I may have to get a ATX case after all.
thanks

It really should have a label. Worth a look.

Other than taking the case apart and hoping theres a label on the PSU, how can i find out the power of it?
but the guy who made it said it was a 150, obviously it's not.

Ehm...Fogmaster, you wouldn't have a chance of running that of a 150W psu, the actually power available from it would be around 75W, and an AMD cpu alone takes well over 50, usually more towards 70. Poering the whole of your system on the remaining 5-25W? Seems a little unlikely..

Rob, again, are you sure this isn't a PSU with 150W available for draw (300W)? Because even my 486 has a 235W PSU, and running your systems on one sounds fairly impossible..

Have a look at this article on Xtreme PC UK:
http://www.xtremepcuk.com/articles/psu/index.shtml

"You have to realise that there are other devices drawing their power from the same voltage line - a brief list (and some conservative power estimates) includes:

Motherboard = 20W
Sound card = 5W
PCI modem = 3W
Floppy drive = 5W
Hard drive = 12W
CD-ROM = 15W
CD-RW = 15W"

With AMD cpus going up to almost 90W..

I'm running 3 HDDs, a CD-ROM, a floppy drive, a Voodoo 5, a modem, soundcard, various other onboard stuff and an AMD K6-2 333mhz on a 150w. Is this safe?

I thought that was the case (no pun intended).
Cheers.

Not a chance. Athlon motherboards have ATX power connectors on them so AT is out of the window, also 200W will never be up to the job, you need AT LEAST 300W.
