May 3rd is not a crushing blow, for me anyway especially considering how low on funds I would be. But that’s not the point, the date is in the first half of this year and at least we finally have a date... But one thing that I will like to point out is that, compared with the other 2 launches, the European Launch of the Gamecube is the best out of the three and even crushes what the X-box have to offer.

Japan had 3 titles at launch, American had a much larger selection but the only two titles to stand up along side luigi's mansion, wave race and Monkey Ball was Tony Hawks 3 and Star Wars Rogue Leader. So what has the UK release over the American one???? I still don't see Mario, Link or Pikachu, why does Dringo think the Gamecube in Europe has a brilliant Launch, where's the big name title???

SONIC!

Oh yes you remember him surly the guy who managed to fight Mario to the very final round? The second greatest platform character ever! Sonic Adventure 2: Battle was a surprise showing at launch but a very VERY welcome one, it means a huge game name will be there. And a mere 3 weeks later, which is still a launch period to me we get two of the biggest and undoubtedly best games the GC will offer us for a while, Super Smash Brothers: Melee and a HUGE surprise to go along with Sonic, Resident Evil????? I never expected to see this so soon after the Gamecube hits the shelves!

So Sonic Rav, is the Gamecube launch still disappointing, can't stand up to the X-box ah??? X-box has a launch consisting of these smash titles, Halo, Project Gotham and Dead or Alive 3. The Gamecube has, Tony Hawks 3, Luigi's Mansion, Star Wars: Rogue Leader, Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, Resident Evil, Smash Brothers and loads more unannounced (remember there is 20 titles!). The X-box launch looks good i must admit but with such big and brilliant titles appearing at launch or near enough (All those titles I just listed I am getting) for the Gamecube when they compare the Gamecube wins, and not only that but the Gamecube retails at a whole 50% less from the X-box's price. A stunning launch for Nintendo, a brilliant one at that and now i have just enough time to get all those games!

Here's to the future.

Who watched the sad video of mr gossan blagging the Gamecubes brilliance and pointing out the price problem with the PS2 and X-box.

20 games at launch is excellent.

I still think they're overcompensating for what happened last time though... :0) They could just knock off one or two games, and bring it back a few weeks earlier. I bet nobody will complain.
