Why is this year going to be the year of the Cube?
Simple. They have the balls to lie down and wait, they don't need price cuts and they are still selling consoles.
People are crying the Gamecube is the new Dreamcast. Well, no its not. Sega weren't making money, they were taking hits per console sold. Nintendo are the ones making money per console sold. With the GBA selling so very well EVERYWHERE, its only time before the GBA owners start buying the GC to go with and link up. Nintendo have many Japanese companies behind them. They have still got the second largest userbase. If you include the GBA its the largest userbase in the world.
Gamecube isn't doing very well? Neither is the XBox. Compared the the PS2 they are both failing.
Yet again. Nintendo are the ones who probably know this best of all, they are being the 2nd console, the gaming console, and not the console which has the high figures because of so many returns. At work we get at least 3 every sunday.
I would just like to congratulate Nintendo. As I already have done Andy Williams. As I can honestly say they are the sneakest and best company in this industry, and man I am looking forward to the Cube exclusives this year.

Market share?
Yeah, Nintendo own the most. More than any other company! Compredez?
Nintendo may make money on their consoles, but as their market share gets smaller and smaller the incentive for developers and publishers to make and release games diminishes in proportion. And with less games comes even less punters, the logical conclusion being Nintendo shrivelling itself out of the hardware market. Sitting on their hands watching pennies roll in from hardware sales is not a viable strategy, they will be competed out of the business.
Nintendo of America's adult advertisements meant that Nintendo overtook the X-box for a brief period before christmas, something that was previously unbelievable.
Despite not having Metroid and Zelda as AAA titles like the other 3 Nintendo of Europe pushed Starfox and Eternal Darkness heavily enough to ensure that in overall consoles sold througout the year Nintendo still beat Microsoft... now comes the Easter catch up.

Mwuaha maybe they're not making games any more..
Actually they are but ssh. Yes also I do see a shortage of *good* PS2 titles. GTA3/VC are really good games, but can get boring. I dont see anything else that i'd get if I owned a PS2.
*Shrug* Who cares, each to their own.

I don't like splint59s.

No one can seriously get bored of an

I was bored in 2 games.
Unreal Tournament/Championship is a terrible, terrible game.
Dry?
I think so.
:D
So this just seems to me like a dejavous, but with ninties. You may diss the PS2 for all its worth, but believe me the time will come when the GameCube will also seem totally dry.
It happened with the N64, PSOne, and so on and it's bound to happen with the next gen consoles with the exception of the Xbox, which is very near its Xbox Live! launch. No one can seriously get bored of an Unreal Tournament online.
Except maybe MGS2:Substance, as I didn't get MGS2 last year.
Thats reallly about it.
Sad really, only got my PS2 last January.
