Did anyone buy a PS2 mag that contained a table of the best Slobber Knocker scores on Smackdown 3 ? My mate said he saw it and the top score was like 18.

Hows everyone elses scores on this match so far ? My best so far is 31 :-)

My best was 34 although on average I only really acheive around 20-25. It's not particularly hard to get a good high score, especially if you use certain characters that are more efficient in Slobberknocker.

I managed 34 with Edge. I didn't have really long bad patches.

Ok, I'm gonna let you in on my tactics ;-) Create a wrestler, give them a good chokeslam move. But put this in a strong area, so you have to pick them up off the floor to do the move - basically in a groggy state. Now make sure your wrestler has 2 good finishers, preferably one that you have to be facing while both on your feet (so you can reverse a punch and use the move straight after) and also a finisher where you need your opponent on their back on the floor is good as a second choice :-)

Use these tactics...Run at opponents and deck them to the floor - move like clothesline2 is good to use for this. Pick them up, then use your chokeslam move. Now pin them :-) 9.9 times out of 10, that will be enough. Inbetween this tactic (as some like to cause problems with reversals), punch them in the face or counter one of their punches and use your finisher. You'll notice that some characters will cause you problems regularly in this match such as kurt angle and benoit. To get over this, deck them to the ground and KO them with your ground finisher (make sure is a hit move, not a submission). If you don't KO them, simply pin them.

This should up your score a good amount :-)

Yeah, I found that they were quite a bit easier to fight too. :-)

Yup, you'll also find that the opponents are weaker than in a normal match :-) Don't waste time beating them all over the ring, a couple of moves is all you really need. Just find a move or 2 that you can pull off without too much hassle and use it to go through the opposition, using your specials inbetween for KO's. Be careful though, finishers such as the peoples elbow waste valuable time with your wrestler having to show off before doing the actual move ;-)

Anyone else noticed this ? When your against the comp, it seems a lot

I've found that the stats go up a lot more when you play in Slobber Knocker every time you do a move. For instance, when I played as Taker I could get his bar up to a finisher with 3 of his choke toss moves. Then I hit a finisher and KOed them. Easy.

I did my 31 with a character I created. Pretty good character :-) One of his finishers was the spinning rack pancake - basically a spinning neck breaker. I changed it to the brainbuster pin instead - its basically goldbergs finisher. I changed it cause everytime I used my old finisher, they always fell next to the ropes which made it difficult to pin. Note to THQ, include a dragging ability that was in WCW vs NWO revenge on the next smackdown game ;-))

My other finisher is the People's Elbow. Slobber Knocker can be annoying at times, just when you get on a role, 1 opponent will come into the ring, usually one of the girls or weaker characters and they'll reverse like everything you do ! Argh !!! God its so annoying when your desperately trying to put them out and seconds are becoming minutes ;-))

I got like 23 wins with The Rock, but this was my first attempt before I got the hang of playing it, so now I tend to hit around the 30 mark. Just trying to get through it without this bad patch I always get, if I can do one of these matches without hitting this bad patch, I'd probably be hitting near the 40 mark ! Stupid comp reversing everything ! ;-))

Anyone else noticed this ? When your against the comp, it seems a lot harder to reverse things than when your against another player. Thing is, this can make for boring matches with friends. Me and Vamp have this trouble, we keep reversing eachother and knowone can really do much in the way of good moves or follow ups cause we keep kicking eachother off or reversing holds. Thing is it would have been nice if the reversals could be a bit better to watch. Don't like a match full of waist locks and kicks to the face ;-))
