First off, Halo, which looked set to be a smash hit on the PC possibly won't hit our silicone shores due to it being too good an opportuninty to waste marketing wise and just because stockists say that you can pre-order it, they aren't the decision makers, are they? Halo would be a big loss, but there are tons of games that could heal the wounds of gaming stigmata that this would reap to millions of gamers world-wide. So, I'm being a little awkward, just to spark a little controversy (if I can coin a phrase), but imagine if Halo or any other game was scrapped from the PC and only released on the PC, what a disaster! It would be a waste of money, marketing it for the PC (knowing the way Micrsoft think!), but surely, they would make more money from it.
What games next, Bill?
Don't panick, Halo IS coming out on the PC, but there are a few games that are biting the bullet and being flushed down the gaming loo for the X Box, so to speak. This is news? Where have you been hiding? And what does it matter?, I hear you say! Before an angry mob of gamers run towards me, I will comprimise that a format is just a format. If you really want to play a game, then buy the format it's on. Stop bitching about it, because that's going to get you nowhere. Nobody moaned and complained when Metal Gear Solid was released for the PC, claiming that it was a "cradlesnatcher", so to speak, so why start a raucus now?My moan is that the domestic PC is being pushed into second class and thrown out like an old shoe. Does the PC deserve this? Hell no! Many sequels which first featured on the PC are being released on the X Box first! Surely the PC deserves to recieve these games before the little black box?
Any game which is worth being brought out on the PC will be brought out 6 months after X-Box release. Great, I hear you say, but we shouldn't have to wait 6 months for a bog-standard conversion from a next-generation console. This truly sucks to me and I am truly niggled at Microsoft for taking such a bad step down the bogtrotter. Again, I'll agree to the superiors that the final say comes from Microsoft and THEY get little or no benefit to port X Box's killer gems to other formats? Nintendo didn't do it with Goldeneye, so why should they? As the expression goes, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
I'm sad that I've ended up with a comprimise here, because that's not what the original intention was. Why did Microsoft do this? To show their ignorance and prove that a few million smackers don't matter to them, or maybe they just can't be bothered. I'm in a foul mood with Microsoft, and I hope that I will be made a lot happier when I try out Windows XP in a few minutes.
Thanks for reading.

> Thank you MOW. People are saying look at HAlo! Its amazing! But they fail to
> realise its coming out on PC aswell!
People who do that are just damn ignorant, and I hate it. Sure, the X Box is looking to be a great console, but don't underestimate the power of ol' faithful.
No monkeys were harmed in the making of this post.
