Hello I’m Rapid Fire and I’m here to give you this weeks main stories.

It seems that just over a week after the highly publicised split with Mario, Peach is in the news again but this time she is in trouble.

It would appear that the pretty young girl has been caught on film taking certain items from a high profile Delfino Isle clothes shop. The film seems to show her going into different sections and searching for onlookers, when finding that there were none she would put the different clothes into her bag and walk to another place.

She was stopped by security guards as she left the store and later released on bail claiming ‘I was doing some research’

The cost of the items stolen is estimated at about 250 coins. Peach is up for trail next week in the Delfino Isle Court, but it doesn’t stop there she is also accused of vandalism, will she get away with it? We wait to see.

2nd Jestember 2003

Yes it is Jestember and the rains are now upon us, the news however must go on and this was the day that Peach turned up in court…

She was convicted on charges of Grand Theft and Vandalism but not burglary much to the defendants delight.

The verdict came 5 hours after the court adjourned, they resumed the session this morning and when the verdict was reached Peach came into the room looking subdued in a polo neck shirt up to her chin. She sat in her corner with her lawyer at her side when the verdict was read to her and the sentencing is to be made on the 6th of Feblemby.

Peach was charged for allegedly taking over 250 gold coins worth of merchandise from a Isle Delfino store. Though there is still a chance that she might get up to a three year prison sentence it seems now rather unlikely due to her high profile.

Peach was under attacks from the prosecution that she ‘Liked the thrill of stealing’ and that she was doing it for ‘fun’ but her highly paid Italian lawyers fought back that she was in fact the victim of ‘overly vigilant security guards’.

In true movie style the closing statement from the prosecution was ‘she came she stole she left simple!’ she also followed up by stating ‘Nowhere in out laws does it say that only the poor steal, as I and I’m sure you to have thought ‘why would Peach, a rich good looking woman steal1?’ well people commit crimes for all sorts of reasons from loneliness to greed right through to spite but she may even have done it because she could, because she liked the thrill’

Awesome research had obviously been done as at one point the prosecution stated ‘I hear one of your favourite films is ‘Girl, Interrupted’, I also noticed that in this film the voice over says that you get a certain thrill out of walking out of a store with something unpaid for.

During the testimony period last week security videos were shown of Peach sifting through the store and staff testified that she cut off tags in the changing rooms, when they approached her she claimed she was ‘preparing for a game role’.

But the prosecution once more hit back with ‘oh so because Shigeru Miyamoto or some other Nintendo representative told you to shoplift it makes it Ok?’

However Peach did not take the stand and the defence attorney said that the store, trying to avoid civil liability, conspired among their staff to make a complex story to show Peach as being a thief and a vandal. He also went one step further and said that employees had changed their statements in some cases and in the extreme even taped over important video footage. Video footage showing when Peach left the dressing room after allegedly taking out the tags the attorney also mocked claims of vandalism in the form of ripped clothes where tags had allegedly been taken out.

Her career has been full of ups from Donkey Kong in years gone to Super Mario Sunshine most recently but maybe she isn’t quite what we all think with the recent ripping out of Mario’s heart.

We await the sentencing sometime soon.

3rd Jestember 2003

Hello I’m Rapid Fire with yet more breaking news…

Earlier today one of our most loved spiky blue hedgehogs, Sonic was found speeding through down-town New York.

Over the years Sonic has become famous for his super sonic speed (thus the name) but until now he has never been convicted of anything. His first success came on the Snes in the early nineties and ever since his fame and graphical representation has rocketed as has his speed.

The speed limit in the built up area was 35mph with the usual increment for mistakes the police chief though Sonic could have ‘safely done 41mph’ but his ridiculous speed couldn’t be ignored as he was going at about 267mph.

He did safely cross the area without any disasters but the area police all agree that this must be taken seriously.

Although it is unlikely Sonic will be charged he will most likely get the usual $50 fine and a few points revoked from his road licence.

It seems behaviour from our games stars is on a fast decline and it was right for the appropriate authorities to crack down.

Today’s top story.

A body was found in the early hours of this morning in an undercover CIA operations room. It is thought that the man was an undercover American operations agent, or a ‘splinter cell’ as they have been dubbed. The man, somewhat resembling George Michael by some accounts was found with a bullet hole through the side of his skull.

The bullet is thought to have been fired from a Russian long range sniper rifle from a near by building.

As yet no nation has claimed responsibility for killing the man and the same for ‘employing’ him.

The news comes soon after the assassination Russian leader Mr Grinkov. He too was shot but from a close range back head shot. We now must wait for the man to be named and for a country to take the blame.
