In the beginning there was silence, and darkness.

The silence was broken momentarily with a click, which also signalled the end of the darkness, as spotlights revealed a stage. The clicking continued, in rythm, as a number of characters walked across the stage, in two lines. In the first line was Mario, Luigi, Fox McCloud, Samus, Link, Donkey Kong and other members of the Kong family. The other line was fronted by Solid Snake, and consisted of Raiden, Crash Bandicoot, Lara Croft, Spyro the Dragon, Jak and Daxter.

The two lines step back, one at each side of the stage, then two charaters step forward, Link, and Lara Croft, the music kicks in, and they're twisting. What's this? Link's taking his shoes off! Look at those white socks! My word, Lara Croft is doing that thing where you pretend you're going under water, pinching your nose and stuff! Whatever next? It's the Batman! Link is trawling his fingers across his face! Fantastic dancing from both parties, as the music comes to an end. They step back into the darkness.

Spyro the Dragon has now moved forward, and what's that he has? It's a stool! A slow song begins, and he sways, slowly. Suddenly the song picks up in pace, and he's off the stool! A very smooth move. The song has been mixed in to Whigfield's Saturday Night, and look at Luigi, he's doing the dance! He knows all of the moves! Spyro can only copy at a slight seconds delay, and nod his head to the 'boing, boing, boing' beat.

They leave the stage, as M.A.R.R.S. 'Pump Up the Volume' starts. Samus gets up, and starts doing some robotics. Wow! Smooth, yet somehow jerky! But the music suddenly changes as Crash Bandicoot steps up. The distinct sound of two old men can be heard singing, in some strange foreign tongue. It's the Macarena, and Crash knows how to do it! Samus leaves the stage, danced off, whilst Crash finishes the song.

Following this up Jak and Daxter step onto the stage and start doing the Hustle! Have they got the moves, or what? Not to be out done Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong and Tiny Kong step up, and they're doing the monkey, and can they ever do it well!

The music fades out, and a new beat kicks in. Fox McCloud moonwalks across the stage! Solid Snake and Raiden step up. Raiden starts body-popping, awesomely! Snake is breakdancing, he's spinning on his back!

Mario steps forward, does a handstand, and spins on his head. From this he rolls onto his stomach. He's doing the Worm!

Suddenly the music stops and there is silence. Everyone looks around stunned. This wasn't in the script!

In walks Bill Gates, with Steve Bulmer and The Rock walking behind. The music starts again. The Microsoft gang are dancing to the Birdie Song! They're flapping their arms, and making beaks of their hands! As they shake their bums all over the stage the gangs from Sony and Nintendo leave, defeated.
