Malice: Kat`s Tale - PS2 Specific Details

PS2 version to have additional levels and game features over the Xbox version.

When Microsoft were first showing off the Xbox, Argonaut Malice was being promoted heavily not only as an exclusive title, but as a sign of what the machine can do. It must have left a few people with red faces when Argonaut changed publisher to Vivendi and announced the decision to release the game on the PS2 as well.

Today we learnt a few specific details regarding the PS2 version.

Malice for the PlayStation 2 will feature additional levels and gaming options that are unique to the PlayStation 2 version. It will also have a unique shadow system and an efficient PlayStation 2 rendering system that allows for more content and sound.

``All of this additional content will complement the distinctive modes of play with a visual feast for the gamer,`` said Joss Ellis, COO, Argonaut Games PLC. ``Malice is being developed to take full advantage of the PlayStation 2 architecture.``

``Malice is going to offer PlayStation 2 fans a surprising protagonist, one unlike any they've seen before,`` said Barbara Schwabe, vice president of marketing at Sierra. ``With significantly superior gameplay, visuals and audio, PlayStation 2 enthusiasts should expect a truly refreshing video gaming experience.``

``Malice is really an original and extraordinary heroine and I expect her character to turn the game into one of Sierra's leading franchises in the years to come,`` said Mike Ryder, president at Sierra. ``And with the depth of the story; incredibly original content, and its compelling graphics, the game is positioned to be one of the great platform-adventure games on the next generation console systems.``

Boasting a tough and sassy teenage heroine, players will no doubt grow addicted to guiding through time in order to undo the terror of a nuclear Dog God gone mad. Malice features 22 levels, a truly original story, and a cast of quirky characters. It's been heralded for its fantastic graphics, unique weaponry, compelling storyline, and intriguing heroine.

So there you go... The game which MS used to show off the Box is coming to the PS2... With better graphics and etra levels and gameplay!!

I too will probably get all 3 consoles... but not until I land a job in Summer!

After all, it's the only way I can manage my craving for games!

"One new level and an option to sneeze loudly"

One more 'plink', a shadow on the main character.

"It will look nice, probably."

"You will play another annoying game character."

"It's another one of those Platform games that sold so well on the Playstation"

"Since Tomb Raider, we realised that a lady with large assets was a good way to sell a game, and it doesn't hurt to get in a couple of post appocalyptic levels either."

Your refering to the Matrix yes? From what I've heard Microsoft have paid off the developers to make sure the other versions are crippled. If you have any other information please share it...

But Ortega, seeing as you own a PS2 and not an Xbox, doesn't that mean you're saying:

"Yours is better than mine!"

Sorry to resort to "mine is better than yours" crap, but...

The loading times on the PS2 version of Max Payne are also much longer when compared to the X-box version.
