When I put my ps2 through an rgb cable I am unable to adjust the sharpness and colour, my tv is a very new (christmas) widescreen tv if this makes a difference. Does anyone else have this problem?

It's not a problem, it's the way it's supposed to be.......

A true RGB output from your console can be decoded directly by the TV, so the colour and sharpness levels are at the best quality for that form of input. They are set to the optimum levels, and you can't change them because of this. Don't worry about it, at least you know it's definately working.........
