i prefer souk cakibour 2 then tekken 4 because iv'e heard that the arcade version of tekken 4 were very disappointing, but i hope thet the ps2 version will be better then the arcade version.

Soul Calibur's PAL conversion was impecable- with 60Hz mode to go (PLEASE Namco, put this on the PS2 game!). It's fast, the adventure mode was HUGE with plenty of bonuses, and all the extra mode were excellent (survival, extra survival, cinema, computer battles...)
So, I'd be more inclined to get SC2 myself. But then again, as a huge beat 'em up fan I'll probably get both and VF4. A Powerstone games would be great too! (It's sooo under rated). Oh, and can anyone recommend a 2D figheter that's as good as Marvel vs Capcom???
Sonic
Anyway, Tekken seems to be dying with age... Soul Calibur looks the better of the two. Its come a long way since the old Playstation version (it was called Soul something else cant remember) and the mission mode adds that axtra bit of game play last and adventure to it (sometimes you're fighting an invisible opponent - wow, can tekken offer that? hehe). Time for Tekken to move out the way!!!
Don't forget Virtua Fighter 4 which may even be better than both of em ;-)
> The first was absolutely brilliant - One of the best ever beat em ups!!
Yep, I reckon it still is probably the best graphical beat em up available on a home console. Well until Dead Or Alive 3 comes out for the X-Box.
Tekken Tag is no where near as good.
I'll definitely get Soul Calibur 2. I'm sure it will be, without a doubt, the best beat em up yet, beatig VF4 and T4. Still, I'll probably get T4 and VF4 too because I really like Beat em ups. :-D
