it also wasn't true 32bit and the only good game i remember it having was Doom.
I also hated the master system it was a crappy little thing and what about the atri lynx hand-held which was like carrying a couple of bricks around.
so much cack
thats all that comes to mind really.
oh and the DC was great moron
Ignoring the price and variety, AND the release dates, it did occasionally bring out some great games. Roque Squadron and Goldeneye to name two, of which is a short list to be honest. The PSX brought out a lot more top quality games, and there was something for everyone. Since I don't like Mario or Zelda, the N64 obviously wasn't for me.
And while the PSX is still going quite well, the N64 is basically dead over here with no release date for the GC! Absurd!
The games cost way too much, the variety of genres wasn't wide enough and they specialiased in Mario/Zelda type games. Also, no Metal Gear Solid.
Oh, and the GBA too so far. Total crap. No decent games whatsoever, apart from Mario Kart, but we've played it before!
Megadrive was not the Playstation of it's era. Both consoles had a similar number of releases, for a start.
And Sega made good games.
My least favourite console of all time would be the Atari ST. It was around towards the end of the cassette era, and used a joystick rather than a pad. It had a pitiful selection of very poor games. No loading though, which was a novelty at the time.
Sonic
Speedball 2
Micro Machines
Toe Jam and Earl
Desert Strike
The list is endless! I still have my megadrive (my SNES was sold, sadly but i'm on the lookout for a bargain) and I currently have over 80 games.
It was always more popular with people of lesser gaming knowledge, who didn't know the SNES was miles better but where are you now Megadrive??
People still talk about all the great SNES games and the SNES games they want to see again on the GBA, but nobody talks about you anymore.
( Yes i am still bitter at the fact that it was more popular than the SNES )
Cheers Mate!
Now. Who's side shall I be on?
