So, what do you think? Will the new online function help the game progress or will it just make the game less appealling to the die hard FF fans? I just hope it doesn't go like the movie and cause Sqaure to lose it all.
Also, the game will have to be very good if they exspect to make any money off the online fee.

It depends in the way which they handle it. It CAN be very good, if done right. I can bet that it will be P2P (a big downer), but at the right price, they can pull in a few million customers :) It looks like Squaresoft are trying to revolutionise the FF series with something new, but I suspect it to fail miserably. I don't see how this could push hardcore fans away, but only drag them in further to the world that is FF.
