I reckon that you can either make or break a console on the controller. If the controller is too hard to use then people won't want to but it where as if it easy to use it is a winner.
I best controller i've ever come across is the playstation as it is easy to hold and it dosen't hurt your hands. The worst is probaly the sega saturn as it hurt after a long game.
Some games are designed for controllers for example goldeneye and ape escape. I liked the Z bottom on the N64 because it felt like trigger rather than just a button.
The thing that annoys me is all the un offical controllers because often they are not quite as good as the offical controllers.
The controlls on games can also annoy me because they can be complicated with each button doing more than one thing at a time or you have to press a combination of buttons.
