Now, I don't know what you originally thought this was about, in fact, I don't know what I'd think if I saw "Teachers...." written in the forums but I'm going to go ahead anyway.
Teachers, a strange breed aren't they, you have the "good" ones and the "bad" ones, now there is a fine line dividing the two. Where does good start and bad end, why do I like certain teachers and my friends hate them, and vice-versa, why can some teachers do something and the pupils find it funny, and another do the same thing and get a negative reaction.
I am really writing this in criticism and in anger, as every day in History it annoys the hell out of me. I like my history teacher, she explains everything well and is not grouchy but.....she is really gullible, every day someone will be talking and she tells them to stop, and then they sat they "don't understand it....haven't got a clue." This is fair enough but when its always the same person and you see the look in their eye, it is obvious they are just trying to get away with it, yet she sits down and helps them for about 20 minutes.
This particular teacher does lots more annoying things - the other night we had to answer questions on detente and then make notes on the USSRs invasion of Afghanistan (she is my History teacher) and the next day she looks at the homework - "I am very disappointed that no-one did the questions on Afghanistan, you have omitted that from your homework," I said she didn't tell us to do that, but would she listen.....no! So the whole class got punishment homework and had to do the questions twice!!
The next day she told us to write notes on two pages of.....something else (can't remember) and in school told us to "go on with the second page now, and anyone who did it by mistake can learn it." This is all well and good because in class it meant I had nothing to do but I spent an hour doing it at night, when I could have been in bed!! (note: it was 2:30am)
Other teachers just forget they gave you homework altogether, my English teacher once gave us a 10 page essay and then never spoke of it again. I was angry at having spent several hours doing it on a Saturday when I could have been elsewhere, and was going to shove it in her face, but was informed by some "popular people" not to bother because she would remember and they hadn't done it.
The point of this whole thing is that teachers love giving you work and I don't mind doing it, as long as they bloody acknowledge that it is done!!!!!!!!!!!
If anyone has experienced similar erm.... *aggravations* please tell me. Right now I am glad to have this anger off my chest.
Oh, and guess what, why did the history teacher think she only told us to do notes on the first page - because the "understands nothing" guy only did the first page and when she asked him where the second was he said she only said to do the first - and she believed him.. eurgh!
Someday I will punch him....
