Come the end of March, There is going to be console war between the Gamecube, Xbox and PS2.
Which will win?
The Nintendo Gamecube - 128 bit console with a handle on the back? What's the point? On top of that, it's made from cheap plastic. Did fisherprice do the manufacturing? And the controller. Just one question. Are we 5 year olds? Okay, the ergonomics of the console are apalling. What about the games? Okay, switching to the mini-disc format, maybe the gamecube saves itself here. There are some quality games floating about with some pretty impressive graphics like Tony Hawk pro Skater 3, Resident evil, Waverace-blue storm, Eternal Darkness, Galleon and Soul Calibur 2. Although there needs to be more games like these instead of plumbers in a haunted house and insects in the garden. Some of the games really are ridiculous. From what I have read, Nintendo are going for an older, mature market. They are going the wrong way about it. They should stop all of these 6 year old Japanese style games from coming over here because the whole world thinks that Gamecubes are for babies. The console needs to change it's dire look and some better games should come in otherwise this thing is going to be the next dreamcast. Pull yourselves together Nintendo!
The Microsoft Xbox - Is this a games console? It looks like VCR. And the controller! It's a replica of the dreamcast model with an ugly green bubble in the middle. My God, the Xbox is the most horrid looking thing I have ever seen. Even the gamecube looks better than it. The Xbox may look awful but some of the games look quite good close up. The Xbox is at a slight disadvantage to the other consoles. It's brand new and there have been no prequels. The Gamecube has the N64, the SNES and the NES. The PS2 has the Playstation and the PSone. The Xbox has nothing. This isn't good because you get Nintendo people or Playstation people. No one floats in the middle. Therefore, there will be very little people buying the Xbox. I fall into that category. Sorry Microsoft! The Xbox is also very expensive. This in my view is a huge risk that Microsoft is taking. It's about £300. Bad move Microsoft.
The Sony PS2 - The Playstation was one of the most successful console in history, not due to it's ugly form. The games were great and there were a lot of famous companies working for the format. Later on in time, the fromat was changed to the PSone. It was almost the same as the previous console altough it looked a lot smaller and stylish. To me, it was the best looking console out of them all. PS2 was released last year and it is has been a gigantic success. With tonnes of extras, it has fantastic graphics. The controller has remained the same and good thing that it has. You are also able to play games from the previous consoles. Wicked. The PS2 on the other hand, like the other consoles in the war, is quite hideous. It's a long black brick and should improve here. If only it had a different shape and a lot more style, it would be the console ever. Not that it isn't already, although when the other consoles come out, the PS2 will have a big fight on it's hands since other companies are moving on to better things.
So who will win the Console War?
Will it be the Gamecube? The new portable, mini-disc playing system with little loading time, 4 controller ports and graphics that will blind you.
Or will it be the Xbox? Maybe the first of ideal gaming before the future with cool graphics.
Or maybe the PS2 will win. The DVD playing entertainment system with outstanding graphics and a history behind it that proves it indestructable.

Don't get smart with the newbies,you know it confuses them.
If I was stacking the consoles, I'd put the ps2 on the botton horizontally, this would then provide a stable base for the Xbox. Given it's small base I imagine you could successfully then balance a Gamecube on the top of that.
