No matter who you are, where you are, the truth is, we all play games in one form of another. Maybe not with the aid of a control pad, maybe not even a 'computer game', but there are many forms of game - 'tig' anyone?
Ever since you were staring at the ceiling in your hospital crib, you've been designed to survive. Thankfully the days of cavemen and women have long past, but the truth is a human's basic instinct is to survive, reproduce and have a laugh with the invisibility cheat on in Golden Eye...
Gaming, whether it's silicon in form or not, is one of the most natural things we do in life. A cure for boredom, something to do before Match Of The Day (Or The Premiership as it's now known, on ITV...), and of course, there's nothing like a spot of button bashing to wash away those rainy days. Gaming is good, playing games is something everyone does, and it's something we'll always do, and I'm not ashamed to say that even I have spent several hours transfixed in front of Solitair! (Probably because I don't win until the 10th attempt!)
You can and will advance as a person through playing these games, so many important decisions to make - should you choose the Impreza or the Evo - X Box or Game Cube? Take risks - profit is the result of risk taking, so do it - personal gain, winning - losing, competing - playing the game. Form alliances, maybe even friendships in a game of Phantasy Star Online, learn how to speak without emotion in a quick Frag Session on Quake - be confused by Chu Chu Rocket, and gang up on that Kapu Kapu redirector in the 4player battle. It's a learning experience...
If you need a pair of trainers, you buy a pair. Be it Nike, Reebok, Addidas - or whatever, it isn't really important as long as you achieve what you set out to do and that those trainers work for you. Get the right size, the right colour and stick with the brand you can trust (>shudders< as images of Thora Herd's advert appears). Same with gaming perhaps - lose faith, then change?
Anyway, be it Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo or Sega. Remember, 'we' are the face of gaming, and we will never change, they are but the cuisine that we're gonna salivate over for the good forseeable future :)
Games, Games, Games...
It's all good.
Never take it away from me.
Appreciated

This is true.
In my day to day life, I'm always finding that I'm using skills learnt in video games.
Only the other day was I asked by the boss to infiltrate a competitors site, and steal secret files. Had I not have played a number of games, I doubt I would have been able to do this.
My extensive playing of the early levels of 'Metal Gear' taught me how to sneak past guards whilst they sleep, and before they realised, by saying "I FEEL ASLEEP".
I doubt I would have been able to hurdle over the fence had it not have been for many Track 'n' Field type games.
And I'm certain I wouldn't have had the same accuracy with those shurikens had it not have been for growing up playing Shinobi.
