has anybody bought and played dropship yet i really like the look of this game but need to know if it worth buying 1st is it too hard/easy too short/long boring/exiciting please let me know
Sounds great!! Might get Madden 2002 first though!!
I'm on mission 2.3 (the demo from EB or Game) and each mission is getting longer, mission 2.2 was like this with three objectives to complete the mission.

Not sure about the overall length of the game - there are 20 missions, but they are broken down into 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 etc.
I've completed the 'first' mission, with parts numbered from 1.1 to 1.5 - not sure if that counts as 5 missions or 1 mission. If 1.1 to 1.5 are in fact 5 missions, then the game will be very short. If they count as 1 mission, then the game is much longer. Suppose I'll only be able to tell you for sure when I get to mission 4.5 and see if the game ends or not!

I've had it since thursday and its brilliant, the graphics are better than the original demo's and there is support for 60hz ( full picture ) display as well. So far I'm 5 missions into it and it does seem hard sometimes - dogfights are quite different because you can suddenly hover, turn and blast straight back at the guy chasing you. The missions are well thought out, what I've seen, and the combat isn't "fire and forget" like in so many other flight sim type games. The missions where you get the buggy thing are nice and do offer a bit more variety. Theonly downer is that you have to stick to the exact mission plan or its game over time e.g. often you have to kill all the enemy rahter than outrunning or sneaking past them. Apart form that gripe its good !
Im still thinking about getting it!! Its been getting some pretty good reviews and is suppose to be really difficult!!
