whoa, what a great film, but sorry can someone explain why the heck she jumped off the mountain at the end...

tell me if i'm wrong, but if your about to be trained tobe one of the greatest warriors of all time, with the man you love and living on a mountain, you'd be happy right? did the guy have bad breathe? was it cold in the desert? did I miss something?

I know their wish comes true when they jump, silly idea, but wouldn't she rather have spent her life in happiness? well, obviously not, and i'm not the director or script writer so what can i do about it, except say that this film has left me speechless..

it's a great film, and if, like me you've lived this long without watching it, go rent it now, do it! or buy it from Sr, they do a great price on it, although not on VHS.

yeah, yeah, ok, I guess I needed to watch it a second time, she'd betrayed her power, let her master die, and her lover couldn't go back to the desert, so to make everything better she sacraficed herself.

anyway, I had it explained to me by my media freak friend, nice bloke, it makes a lot of sense now, kamakazee kinda thing, kill yourself to serve a purpose, she wanted Lo to be happy for eternity, although living with him would make more sense to me, Chinese obviously don't think that way.

also, it's a sad film, as no one actually ends happy. Infact ripping their hearts out and eating it would be more fun, no doubt.

no, i understand it, but it doesn't make sense, i'm pretty sure if any of you were in her position, you wouldn't do it. Infact, in anything else but a fantasy film where people fly, and swords cut through swords, this wouldn't happen.

is that it? your film experts? I don't see how that works, you all spent your money and time on these films, catagorised them in neat little shelfs and call yourselves films experts just because you've watched them, and maybe enjoyed most of them, so in that case, i'm a life expert, i've lived my life for 17 years, that makes perfect sense.

so, anyone, can you explain why you'd rather kill yourself than live happily ever after with the man you love and train to become a warrior which you seem to be very good at.

although it might make perfect sense to you film loonies it doesn't to me.

Sure a bit of music, TV and books are thrown in too but it is actually the FILM forum!
