Help.

My LIVE Communicator's broke. help.
what's broken is the bit where the mic bit attaches to the headband bit. therefore deaming the whole thing useless unless i wear a beanie hat pulled down (a lot) over my right ear.

Does anyone know where I can get hold of one without having to dish out another £40 (which I won't do)

:-D

But what exactly can you say?

"I broke my communicator so I DEMAND a new one"?

I've heard of many many people who's headsets have broken.

Most of them rang Microsoft. Some of which were sent a new one for free, others were told basically that Microsoft want nothing to do with it.

So you could try ringing them, see what happens.

If that fails, you'll need to go out and buy a mono headset and mic. However, they're not cheap ranging from about £15 to £25.

Also, the plug on the communicator is a weird shape and has a little bit cut off the plastic casing which ensures a proper snug fitting to the socket. If you buy a new non-microsoft headset, you'll have to use a knife or something to carefully scratch away at the plastic until it fits nicely. Look at your communicator plug to see what I mean.

Basically, it's not going to be easy to replace. The communicator's are designed really badly and can break so easily. Which is why you should be really careful with them :0)

I guess the best thing to do is to goto xbox.com and mail them about it. Remember to goto the UK area though. ;-)
