With the 10th installmant set to arrive in the uk shortly it is a good time to reflect upon the greatest videogaming series ever to exist, and cast a vote on to which one gets the top marks.

Is it final fantasy 6 with the phenominally detailed characters and interesting plot? you choose

Final fantasy 7 with swords bigger than the weilder and summons ferociuos enough to even terrifie the gamer. with the all new materia system and at the time outstanding graphics and even quite good now, side plots which were as interesting as the game itself, choco bo breeding? you choose

could it possibly be final fantasy 8 with big new maps, new weaponry and a gaming span long enough to make one grow a 35 inch beard if they didn't shave for the whole time of playing it. having a card game which kept you engrossed for hours and having the most personal character upgrade system ever; the junction system, and for having the coolest limit breaks? you choose

Could the best be final fantasy 9 with more upgrades then pixels per screen and absolutly outstanding scenery. for having exceptionally brilliant characters with there own personal stories and back grounds, or because it has some of the best puzzles? you choose

Please post your veiws on the best installment so far here.

My choice used to be FF7 but it has changed since I have played X. This game is awsome. It takes gaming to a completely different level.

Final Fantasy 7 had better characters and plot than 8, but only just.
However, I preferred 8s Junction system and hoarding magic spells to the magic points system of 7.

Pretty close between those two.

9 was a bit weak in my opinion....

Final Fantasy 7 is certainly my favourite of the series. Everything about it is perfect, the characters, storyline, music etc. 8 and 9 were good but I believe that they are not a shade on 7. I think Final Fantasy 7 has spoiled me when it comes to RPG's, I expect them all to be as good as this one and every time I have tried a new RPG, I have been rather dissapointed.

Final Fantasy 7 for me all the way. The plot...the characters...Midgar...chocbo's...oh, what sweet memories.

I have to agree that I think FF8 was the most immersive of the 3. While others say it was the worst of PSone Final Fantasys, it took me the longest to complete and I thought it had the best plot.

I am delighted.
Brilliant! As usual the careful and intuitive production that Freeola puts into everything it sets out to do. I am delighted.
Wonderful...
... and so easy-to-use even for a technophobe like me. I had my website up in a couple of hours. Thank you.
