You can look at the pads now a days and not much has advanced in terms of layout and purpose compared to the increase of technology over the past decade.The pads like the n64 brought a new wave of virtual reality in the way of the analogue stick which was one of those things which inhances gameplay,it just proves that to me that was a successful idea otherwise sony and sega would not of done that.The pads of the future would have the analogue stick put also a touch sensitive pad to guide your player iin his or her quest.

I hated the touch sensative pads for laptop mouses. They were strange and it took a few strokes each time to get to the right place.
