Any one else ordered a PSX 2 very recently? Leave a message! :(

A dangerous gamble but it

See - I was right! (Maybe).
It makes absolute sense though if they get it right.
An additional price drop would be a huge thing to do and a platinum range at the same time? Ouch.
Well, the race is not over yet by any means and people will buy Xbox regardless. But I'll be well and truly happy if a platinum range emerges in the next month or two.
Sony aren't experiencing any drought of any kind, they are deliberatly holding back PS2 stock for the end of February to coincide with the launch of the XBox/Gamecube.
Now, the interesting point here is that, rumours are rife that Sony are to drop the price to a tag of £169, as well as introducing the Platinum PS2 range at the same time, which would include Gran Turismo 3, Tekken Tag etc. for a measly £20.
Thing about it: PlayStation 2 and Metal Gear Solid 2 for over a shade of £200.
Sony have this market sewn up already in Europe, this would be the final nail in the coffin for it's competitors, although a healthy interest has been shown in the XBox.
None in the shops?
Could be a good time to sell...
Anyone confirm?
Last time I spoke to Special Reserve, they advised that Sony had told them that the consoles were likely to take 3-6 weeks to come back into stock (from 05/01/2002), however I've asked around in town, and it seems like some of the High Street shops are (slowly) getting deliveries, so hopefully it'll be sooner rather than later.
The sooner the better, as far as I'm concerned. I've already got a couple of games sorted, and am itching to play them now!
Cheers
