"This month's issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM) claims in its Quarterman section that Nintendo is currently working on new games in two of their most popular franchises, Kirby and Fire Emblem. According to the report, both games are in development on the GameCube and Game Boy Advance, with console-to-handheld connectivity in mind. We reported a while ago that HAL Laboratories, the Research & Development group at Nintendo responsible for Kirby, indicated that they were working on at least two new games in the platforming series. Fire Emblem, a strategy/RPG series that has never made it to North America, has a strong following in Japan. A game has been released on the GBA, and was actually announced by Nintendo for a domestic release, but rumor has it that it has since been cancelled."
"EGM also claims that a GC installment in the "Wars" series (of Advance Wars fame) is most likely on the way, but that hasn't been clarified yet. No details about the new Kirby game or the Fire Emblem title have been detailed"

Great news (providing that both games are actually in development)!
I've been wanting to get my hands on a Fire Emblen game ever since I first played as Marth on Super Smash Bros. Melée - and this could be it!
I know Dark Mark'll be interested too...
I can see us getting the Kirby game over here, but just like before, I have doubts that we'll see a new Fire Emblen game released over here.
Having never played a Fire Emblen game before, I can't understand Nintendo's logic in not giving us another one of their RPG's to go with the Zelda games... Surely we'd love them just as much?
And if they're not gonna give us this new game, then they could at least give us some ports of any past N64/SNES Fire Emblen games; Ura Zelda-style.
America might not even get them either, seeing that they still haven't got Fire Emblen for the GBA, even though it was announced months ago...
I live in hope - a LOT of hope! :S
Hang on, WILL Risk be released here?
I think it was a tad mean of Nintendo to taunt us UK 'Cube players by including Marth and Roy in Super Smash Bros Melee... but if they release a Fire Emblem game on the 'Cube, I'll forgive them.
And if they bring a Mother / Earthbound game to the 'Cube as well, I will personally give Shigsy a wet, sloppy kiss right on the lips.
That's some weird sexual fantasy you got there Solskjaer.
