It takes a special kind of game to make me want to play it to completion at the moment, I just don't have the time... games like Eternal Darkness I have yet to complete simply because I don't want to not be able to complete them through not having the time. I will return to Eternal Darkness (from the beginning of the game) this summer and love every second of it.
Whats the point of this topic then er-no?
I have been thinking, and I don't do that a lot anymore. Should games be thought out more? Or should the market be swayed into a corner in which exact game are after are produced, with conventions that'll always be used (a little much alike the Hollywood film industry).
I don't want to answer that, I would like to hear your opinion on it however. What I want to talk about is a follow on from my GBASP topic last week.
I feel embarassed to take my GBA out or even to college. I have loads of time in free periods to kill at college but I don't have my GBA with me because its true Nintendo do have a childish image. I am quite happy to play with my iPod.
The difference? People are impressed with the iPod and not with the GBA. This is where I think the new GBASP will kick in, smashing through all record barriers and futhur setting Nintendo apart from the opposition in terms of total market share. The GBASP will be extremely sweet.
Its like going back in time, buying a Game & Watch case, and playing SNES games.... ... all while being under your cover. Even better than that, the screen is protected. Thank god for that.
Whats the question then er-no? Whats your point? STOP WAFFLING!
My point is I don't think people enjoy games anymore on a level they used to. It looks as though Nintendo are using the retro and old school look of their original success to push a brand new console? Is this a sign of things to come? I think more of the games me and you were playing as young children and when home entertainment systems began should be re-released.
I want to see Shadowgate, Gauntlet II (a good version), Castlevania, Super RC ProAm, McDonalds World etc...
Its hard creating an original idea in life and thinking of something different. If there is one thing I have learnt from working in the industry. Its that we don't need more games, we need better quality games. And a great way to do this would be to recreate the games that started it all.
Anyone for Marble Madness online?
Cheers er-no
> RC Pro Am is a Rare game, yes?
