I wonder if it'll be a proper PAL conversion though. Dreamcast version rules over all anyway (due to full screen 'flip your tv' type vertical mode, just like the arcades!)
Not a fan of scrolling shooters personally.
You need to be a Zen Master to do well at this game. If you can enter the right sort of trance then you might just survive. I'm currently trying to get up to stage 4 without using a continue, but haven't managed it yet. I played it long enough to unlock unlimited credits, and when I first got to stage 5 (the last stage) it took me 27 CREDITS to get to the end (2 lives per credit). It's verging on the ridiculous. Still, I hear the GC version has a slow-mo practice mode.
The Dreamcast version is great! (jap only)

Ikaruga is a vertically scrolling shoot-em-up by Treasure, who made Radiant Silvergun. It's meant to be rock hard, tactical and absolutely brilliant. Edge gave it 8 out of 10, and so did GamesTM, who also called it a masterpiece. I doubt it will be a commercial success but I'm definitely going to buy it. My top three most wanted games are now Zelda, Unity and Ikaruga. So there.

It's an old school 2D shooter. Can't say it intrests me the slightest but each to their own.
