Most of the weapons you can get in gta sanandreas are ok but here are a few weapons that i think are good to use and in what situation to use them in.
Choking gas grenades: this weapon you can get from las venturas airport next to the shamal jets. this weapon is best suited for groupes of enemies quite close together as the gas spreads over a large area
Sub machine gun a good long ranged weapon you get it from dead thugs
mp4 rifle probably the second best weapon in the game best suited for long range combat
the sniper rifle isnt that good as you can only shoot with it in sniper mode
the rpg (rocket propelled grenade) this is definatly the best weapon in the game

I think that the mini gun is just amazing because it automatically explodes cars within 7 bullets and you can do a whole lot more damage with It than the sawed off shotgun. Just saying. Also the flamethrower is amazing.
i agree the hitman sawed off shotguns are a beast
and you can get the heatseeker rocket launche in san fierro airport between the two big tanks. there is also a picture spot there too.
