With the second series of The Office well out of the way and the likelihood that a follow-up will be just a couple of one-offs, it would be a good idea to turn this TV show with a cult following into a computer game! Oooooooo...I hear you all cry! The great thing about the office is that there are so many characters, which ultimately helps make a good game. Now theres two different sorts of games that could be made from The Office, theses being

Office Kombat

This is a one on one fighting game like Mortal Kombat (as if you didn't guess) where you take control of a choice of anyone of the Karacters form the game. You would then fight every other Karacter in the game, including having a mirror match against yourself, before facing a two on one fight between you and Jude & Ray (the two from the workshop who got David to be a guest speaker), which if your victorious you then go into combat with Neil....your rival manager. If Neil is defeated then you reach the final Kompetitor...Jennifer. Each Karacter will have their own sets of moves with Karacters such as Gareth being dressed out in army attire and have weapons such as projectile gradades, and good arm to arm Kombat - whilst Keith would be dressed in his Ali G outfit and would use his girth to help fight his way to victory. Finishing moves will depend on the Karacter your playing with Tim putting you in a giant jelly, or David Brent knocking your head off with a football to even Gareth who goes off screen, comes back on in a Tank and blows you into a million pieces. David Brent is only a playable Karacter once you have unlocked him by completing the game on Medium Level Mode. If Hard Level Mode is completed you unlock Finchy the No. 1 sales rep in the country. Throughout the game their should be real voice overs as each one performs a complicated move, such as when Tim fights Gareth he shouts "Your a tw@ gareth", whilst the backgrounds for each should range from the Office itself, to Davids Office, to the Meeting Room, to the Car Park and the Warehouse. Victory will only be yours if you defeat her once and for all. But what's the aim of the game I hear you say...well by winning you show that you should be the overall manager and that (dependant on if you play one of the Slough lot or the Swindon lot) your branch should be the one that stays open.

Office Rage/Streets of Slough

This would be based on the same idea as Streets of Rage (well guessed Sherlock) whare you would take control of either David, Gareth, Tim or Dawn. As you fight your way through the streets of Slough in a desperate attempt to get back to Wernham Hogg Paper Merchants to stop it moving to Swindon, you have to beat up all the Swindon characters as they march towards you on each level. Like Streets of Rage there will be loads of the same person, so you'll be killing Rachel, Trudy and Oliver on more than one occasion. At the end of each level there is the inevitable End of Level Boss, which will be an enlarged version of one of the aforementioned or as you move towards the progressively harder levels, Jade, Ray, Neil and the head honcho Jennifer. Whilst you walk the streets of Slough there will be power ups such as Red noses, and Bird Costumes which will raise your laughter metre which depletes every time you get hit (once it's empty...you die), and there will be weapons you can pick up such as a stapler which you can fire staples from at your enemies (like the Knifes on Streets of Rage). Extra lives will be awarded for finishing each level with a laughter metre above 75% and lives can be picked up as little power-ups in the shape of a tiny David Brent. The final level of the game will involve walking through Wernam Hogg and eventually ending up in your office where the showdown with Jennifer will take place. Win and Slough Stays...loose and you get made redundant and the Slough lot go up to Swindon! If you do succeed in defeating Jennifer then your reward is that you also get to unlock 1 of a choice of characters out of Keith, Finchy or Lee (dawns Boyfriend).

On both games if you get over a certain amount of points and complete the game then you should unlock some footage from episodes out of series 1 and two in a montage. Obviously a game like this would have to be licensed, but I can't see the BBC or Ricky Gervais/Steve Merchant not wanting to cash in...anyway I'm off to go and see this boy that CAN actually swim faster than a shark!
