it's supposedly, "hacker" terms for being, leet, (1 looks like an L, 3's look like E's and 7 looks like a T) or uhmm.. where leet comes from would be, Elite. meaning: A group or class of persons or a member of such a group or class, enjoying superior intellectual, social, or economic status: “In addition to notions of social equality there was much emphasis on the role of elites and of heroes within them” from dictionary.com, Leet is just a shorter more kool term to use? i personally think is stupid, but whatever floats everyone elses boats.
