I do a lot of video editing, and I realise how frustrating it can be to have a massive AVI file, so this should be of some help. Many video programmes allow you to proccess video at different sample rates, such as 30 FPS (Frames Per Second) and you can tamper with the settings to lower it to 15 or lower. If you have a programming that allows sampling, put the sample rate to 24 or 25 FPS. If not, get hold of Cleaner AZ, a programme specifically intended for sampling. You can get some impressive results, such as a 2 minute video file with audio and video at less than 10MB. Good luck.
