"Ninty give a game away to everyone who buys a Gamecube during February and March
Nintendo today announced that from 3 February to 20 March when you buy your Gamecube for £130, you'll get your choice of a free game from pre-selected stock at participating stores. That's Nintendo's new promotion, which might be their action plan after worldwide under-acheiving for Gamecube.
The games you can choose from are Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem, Wave Race: Blue Storm, Disney’s Magical Mirror, Doshin the Giant, Luigi's Mansion, NBA Courtside 2002 and Pikmin.
There's definitely some good games in there but we'd prefer to be able to pick any game we wanted. Interestingly, Metriod Prime is out the day after the promotion finishes - what a coincidence."
Oh, and for all those asking what the GCN 7 deal was, viola!
Buy a Gamecube for £135 and any game of your choice for free.
I wanted to get SMS but had to make do with SSBM
Just get and you'll find out why I said it.
Perhaps Nintendo are trying to appeal to the "other" kinds of people who may be interested in GameCube's; the people who think Mario and Luigi are just 4 five-year-olds; the ones who love atmospheric games like Eternal Darkness, and thinkers like Pikmin.
But undoubtabley, Pikmin and Eternal Darkness would be the best choices there.
Me thinks Eternal Darkness, Wave Race or Pikmin would be the best choices.
Preferably Pikmin because that owns.

1: Doshin is crap.
2: Nintendo did underachieve in Japan, Europe and did just as they hoped in America.

Aren't gamesradar supposed to be clever? The GameCube did brilliantly worldwide! Just disappointingly in the UK, unfortunately.
Onto the deal then - I think it's great. With the right publicity, it could really sell GameCubes but I can't help thinking Nintendo could have been a bit more tactful with the selection. If Resident Evil and Super Mario Sunshine were included, 'Cubes would fly off the shelves.
However, I see what they're doing. They want games such as Pikmin and Doshin to circulate more, as they didn't sell as well as expected. That way, more people will want Pikmin 2 and the Nintendo branch behind Doshin will have some more fans.
