ok-so i am a newcomer to all this gaming stuff and just got a ps2 for chrissie...fantastic!
quickly learn that you really need a memory card so i go out and buy mega memory card.
now i dont know if its my incompetence in using this piece of kit or if its basically a design.
its bad enough that you have to boot the thing to start a game but a lot of the time you have to boot it so many times just to get recognised.
everythings fine on ea sports fi 2001 but at the moment i cant get it to recognise shaun palmers pro snowboarder.
anyboby else have the same problems?

I think it's great technology if you ask me. Think about it. You can turn this into 80 megs of saved files!

That's incredible!

Stick to official stuff, it'll help especially with the warranty and things like that..
Why dont you try and get a replacement or moneybak and buy yourself an official one, OK they're more expensive but MUCH more reliable.

My brother had a PSone memory card that was like 30 times a normal one. But it wiped and I lost everything (I used it more than him) all my smackdown 2, GTA, GT3, metal gear solid and tekken saves were lost. Thats only a few of the games I lost, I cant remember the others.

Thats what you get when you buy an EB own card.
