ok-so i am a newcomer to all this gaming stuff and just got a ps2 for chrissie...fantastic!
quickly learn that you really need a memory card so i go out and buy mega memory card.
now i dont know if its my incompetence in using this piece of kit or if its basically a design.
its bad enough that you have to boot the thing to start a game but a lot of the time you have to boot it so many times just to get recognised.
everythings fine on ea sports fi 2001 but at the moment i cant get it to recognise shaun palmers pro snowboarder.
anyboby else have the same problems?

Just picking them up from out of my pocket. . .Done
Step 3 - Open front door
Can't, it's locked. I'll unlock it though. Done
Step 4 - Walk through front door
Okay. . .WHACK! Oww! It's too hard to walk through.
Step 5 - Get into car (using the car keys)
I'm in the car, but I did it without using the car keys. I must be superhuman!
Step 6 - Drive to shop (avoiding pedestrians)
Drives past three houses to end of street. Done.
Step 7 - Walk into shop
YEEOOW! What do they make these shops out of?
Step 8 - Put memory card on shop counter
Done
Step 9 - Demand your money back
*Pulls out a gun* "Hand it over, punk!"
Step 10 - Use money to buy an official memory card. Simple!
That little kid just took the last one. "Hey you. Come 'ere now!" *WHACK!* Ahhh, much better. Got it now! But I can't use it, I left my PS2 at home!

My brother had a PSone memory card that was like 30 times a normal one. But it wiped and I lost everything (I used it more than him) all my smackdown 2, GTA, GT3, metal gear solid and tekken saves were lost. Thats only a few of the games I lost, I cant remember the others.

Thats what you get when you buy an EB own card.

Yep I got a 16 meg card but what I think is crap is before you play you have to load the memory card but the offical memory card loads its self.
