ps2,xbox,gamecube,dreamcast, are all great consoles, in their every regard, but it makes me sick when see reviews on games on the consoles mentioned above, looking something like this:

sound-9
tilt-8
value-9 looking at the graphics rating, there is no how in the world that the graphics could actually be 9!, i mean the graphic image can be close to the real thing,but with the polygons still there and graphical images entering one another. I DON'T THINK SO!
whats your opinion?

Are you suggesting that with the current capabilities of the existing consoles that the highest mark for graphics should be 3/10 until things get better? If so, you have a valid point.
However, I think it all depends on the reviewer's interpretation of the word 'graphics' when it comes to scoring. In most cases, they'd probably say something along the lines off "We're not saying 9 means it's very very close to a real life image, we're saying that it's 9/10 in terms of being pleasing on the eye" or something like that...maybe.

It's a good point, and what are the graphics being judged against to give them a rating out of 10 for example. If it's purely on the way they look, surely most games developers are making games as realisitc as they can and taking each console to it's limit, so surely most games SHOULD have a similar graphics rating anyway!?!?
