My mate works in Game and he told me at or after March playstation 2 are going to be every where and loads of systems and lower the price to be against GC and X Box.

The games are £42 but that is because SR are only doing a £2 reduction. Most PS2 games are between £34.99 and £36.99 on SR, but SR offer a big discount. Take Devil May Cry for example. Sr have it for £36.99 but going to any high street retailer and you will be able to pick it up for £44.99 or £45 at others.
Once SR start selling the X-Box games with as much savings as the PS2 games then there wont be any difference.

well personally i think the ps2 will still sell better then the gamecube, because it has a much better line up of games already and the gamecube has only a few games at the moment. as for the xbox the price is just way to much, not the console but the games will be like £42.

I heard they were stopping stocks and then flowing full with systems in April .
PS 2's every where? Are they not in most shops already?
I know the Playstation is class and no one should drop the price but if they do more people will buy it .
They don't need to lower their price to beat the X-box! But maybe they will to beat the GameCube??
