I am new to PS1 and was trying to interpret a cheat for Tomorrow Never Dies - This is a rented game and I am assuming that the Pause Menu is reached by entering Start during Paly - then when try the Cheats
say Select x 2, Ox 2 ... - I end up slecting options within the menu -ie
the cHeats don't come into effect - do you have to do these sequences quickly or in parallel? thanks & sorry if it sounds really dopey

When you have paused the game then Hold L1 and enter the cheat. The screen sould do somthing like shake or come up saying cheat has been acctivated.

Sorry me too not on 007 but on all consoles
that have the title screen i can,t get it they have the main menu i know that but this title screen is driving me crazy.

Thank you for your consideration and patience - I went to the cheat list to cut and paste - and cringe! I realised that select (is not the x) sorry for wasting your time - humbled

Post down exactly what the instruction for the cheat says, then we will be able to help more.

Ummm, not often you see the Select button being used in a cheat squence but the the PS1 is a looooooooong time ago...

If it helps, the general format is if it says

Press Select+O then you press them together at the same time

If it says

Press Select, O then you press them one after the other.

2 x O is just another way of writing O, O.
