Depends how much you use the Internet ...

If you don't use it that much, then sign upto Freeola, who charges Local Phone rates to connect,

If you use it a lot, it would be better to go for a monthly deal, where you pay a set amount per month, which Freeola are planning on, but I have know idea when it'll be up and running.

I use Freeserve for the Anytime deal (£12.99 a month with the wirst month free). Though others are available.

But how do you mean your PC is too new for the ntlworld disk??

Free24-7.net

24/7, £7.99 a month. Not fantastically reliable but they've just "upgraded" after their recent coffee-related disaster.

For the BT Anytime, you need to have a BT Line.

Freeola's local call rate would work.

I expect that when they start their 0800 that you could use that as well.

My 0808 line *says* it needs BT but I know for a fact this isn't a BT line (for now) and here I am typing!
