Diddy Kong Pilot: No doubt Rare will be taking all of the best aspects of the plane sections of Didy Kong Racing, and improving on them for this game. We can expect to see plenty of tracks, weapons and other power-ups, and no doubt there will be enough variations on the game to keep the single player game tuck in our GBA's for a while!
What's really cool about DKP though, is the tilt technology that it uses. To steer the plane, you can tilt your GBA! For once all of those gamers that couldn't help but move their whole body when trying to steer a vehicle in a game will have an advantage, and we'll stop laughing at them!
Sonic Advance: Classic 2D Sonic, like we used to play on the Megadrive. It's Sega platform gaming at it's best, and better still it will link to the Gamecube version to allow you to train some racers for the Gamecube game!
Golden Sun: An RPG similar to those seen on the SNES. Developed by Camelot, who developed the 'Shining Force' RPG's for te Megadrive, this is said to be excellent. The N64 suffered from too few RPG's, so to see one of such quality come to the GBA is more than welcome! Apparently the story is a little clichéd, and the battle system tries to add something new that isn't particularly good, but other than these few complaints it's been well recieved around the rest of the world.
Donkey Kong: Coconut Crackers: I'm not too sure on this one yet. It's a puzzle game, but it's developed by Rare. If they get it right it could be highly addictive, else it might just be frustrating.
Banjo Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge: Given the quality of the N64 versions, it will be interesting to see how it converts to the small screen. No doubt it will be a huge adventure though.
Sabre Wulf: I downloaded a video of this. It looked great, plenty of adventure, and platform fun. Could be a classic.
Other games of note in the future are Super Mario Advance 2 & 3 which are conversions of SuperMarioWorld and Super Mario Bros 3, respectively. Metroid 4 and Magical Vacation also could be very good.
It's a rosy future for GBA owners. If we also get a bunch of games that link to the Gamecube then we could have some stunning gaming moments.
These are exciting times for Nintendo - I cant wait for the GC, GBA link up for all those classic gaming moments in store!!
Heh, nice post anyway, and yes, lots of titles are coming which will appeal to those of us who remember the 'good old days' on the Megadrive and Snes!!! There are also ample titles to attract new gamers. I just wish Ninty would make another Mario (NOT Wario) game for GBA instead of just updates that are all available on one Snes cart (Mario All-Stars)
Just wish I could afford a GBA... if only eh?
